Customs with Medications
If you are carrying medications and syringes (e.g., insulin syringes) in your hand luggage, it is advisable to have a medical certificate confirming they are personally needed medical supplies.
Loss of Medications
In case you lose your medications during the trip or at your destination, obtain a list of your blood type and other important health data, as well as the dosage and generic names of your medications from your doctor. Additionally, carry all necessary documents for treatment or prescription issuance abroad. Consult your doctor or health insurance provider for more information.
Medications in Hand Luggage
Ensure your medications are packed in impact-resistant containers and, if possible, distribute your supply across multiple hand luggage pieces. It is advisable to carry one and a half to twice the expected need, as flights can sometimes be rerouted or significantly delayed.
Expectant Mothers
Expectant mothers with an uncomplicated pregnancy can travel without a gynecological certificate up to the 29th week of pregnancy through FanFly Travel GmbH or directly at the check-in counter. After the 29th week, an exception permit is required, which can only be issued by the family doctor or medical service. This also applies to complicated pregnancies, such as multiple pregnancies.
