Baggage information
Checked Baggage
The baggage allowance for checked baggage is 20 kg per passenger. Children also receive this baggage allowance. We recommend not checking in any single piece of baggage weighing more than 32 kg.
Excess Baggage
The transport of baggage exceeding the applicable baggage allowances in weight is subject to a fee.
Carry-On Baggage
For safety and convenience reasons, only one carry-on item per person is allowed in the cabin. The carry-on baggage may not exceed a weight of 6 kg (8 kg for a laptop) and the dimensions may not exceed 55 cm x 40 cm x 20 cm. It is recommended to carry valuables, medications, perishable, or fragile items in the carry-on baggage. The liability limitations noted in the booking confirmation apply.
Excess Baggage Fee
The permissible maximum weight for your travel baggage can be found on your flight ticket. Exceeding this limit is considered excess baggage. In this case, the tariff structure requires an additional fee, which is based on the weight or piece concept, depending on the situation.
Baggage Damage and Loss
The majority of misplaced baggage is found within the first 24 hours. In rare cases, a baggage item may not be located within five days. If this happens, the corresponding Lost & Found office initiates a second, detailed search process. If your lost baggage has not been found within 5 days or if you have any questions about misplaced baggage, please contact our baggage tracing center in Bern immediately.
